iCAUR 03 vs V23 in Malaysia: which fits your routine?
Start with the room you have, the bags you carry and where you will charge. A practical comparison using Malaysian brochure figures.
Start with your parking and luggage
The iCAUR 03 has the larger listed boot. The V23 has a shorter body, but it is taller and slightly wider.
This comparison covers the Malaysian 03 RWD and iWD, and V23 iWD, using the September 03 brochure and July V23 brochure, checked on 31 October 2026. It is not a club road test.
For assembly and variant context, read the 03 Malaysia buyer guide and V23 Malaysia buyer guide. Older CBU stock needs its own equipment and document checks.
Check your parking space
The 03 is 4,406 mm long, 1,910 mm wide and 1,715 mm tall. The V23 is 4,220 mm long, 1,915 mm wide and 1,845 mm tall.
That makes the V23 186 mm shorter, 5 mm wider and 130 mm taller. Check your usual parking bay and its height clearance, including restrictions on the way in. A shorter body does not mean it needs less room in every direction.
Bring the bags you actually use
With five seats in use, the brochures list 450 litres of boot space for the 03 and 234 litres for the V23. The 03 deserves a closer look if carrying luggage with everyone seated is a priority.
A litre figure cannot tell you whether your pushchair or suitcase fits through the opening. Bring it along and check with the rear seats in the position you will use. Check room to open the tailgate in your parking space too.
Plan around your charging routine
| Reference | 03 RWD | 03 iWD | V23 iWD |
|---|---|---|---|
| Battery | 65.7 kWh LFP | 69.8 kWh LFP | 81.76 kWh NMC |
| NEDC range | 426 km | 418 km | 430 km |
| Maximum AC | 6.6 kW | 6.6 kW | 6.6 kW |
| Maximum DC | 80 kW | 80 kW | 104 kW |
All three list the same maximum AC rate. The V23 iWD’s higher DC maximum does not tell you the total charging-stop time. The range figures use NEDC, a laboratory test cycle; they are not measured Malaysian driving results or a promise for your journey.
Use the Malaysia charging-cost guide with your own tariff and consumption. For trip planning, read the source limits in the V23 official-range and trip-planning guide and 03 battery and charging guide.
Sit in both cabins
The 03 lists a separate 9.2-inch instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen. The V23 lists a 15.4-inch central display. Sit in your usual driving position and check how you read the displays and reach the controls.
Compare the exact variants in person. Record what fits your parking, luggage and charging routine before choosing; this guide does not claim a tested comfort or handling verdict.
Sources and limits
Official Malaysian model sources and their linked brochures checked on 31 October 2026. The 03 brochure covers RWD and iWD; the V23 brochure covers iWD only. Listed figures can change. Warranty, prices and equipment must be checked for the actual car.
